These hard tissue homogenizing mixes come as a set of 50 individually pre-filled 50 mL tubes that contain the amount of 2.8 mm ceramic beads for high-efficiency disruption of hard tissues generally, and they are recommended for samples such as tough and fibrous plant materials, seeds, and feed along with tough tissues from other organisms at larger sample volumes. They feature polypropylene screw caps with polypropylene tube, supporting sample volumes up to 35 mL and withstand the force and motion involved in bead-beating as indicated.
They are verified compatible with the Omni Bead Ruptor bead mills, though they may be compatible with a wider range of bead mill homogenizers. These pre-filled bead mixes help reduce the time spent with manual loading of filling empty tubes in a clean environment with homogenizing mixes and may help labs with analytical reproducibility while further minimizing risk of introducing contaminants during the tube fill in a busy lab.
