Overview

The power of Fontus automation. Making waves in NGS library prep.

The speed at which NGS applications are evolving requires adaptable, agnostic platforms that address the needs today and tomorrow as science advances. Automated solutions provide reliable results, and Revvity’s family of NGS automated workstations bring ease-of-use to a new level, ensuring quality and consistent NGS library preparation across users and experience levels.

Furthermore, Revvity offers over 120 vendor-qualified NGS methods automated on our liquid handling workstations.

When selecting an automated liquid handling system for NGS, labs need to consider factors such as throughput requirements, accuracy needs, sample volume concentrations and ranges, contamination prevention features, and compatibility with specific NGS kits.

  • Fontus platform design allows users to add up to two (2) pipetting arms: Varispan 8-tip arm plus 96- or 384- channel main array arm.
  • Varispan 8-tip arm provides independent motion and liquid level sensing in Z direction to access test tubes, microplates, deep well plates, and vials. Sampling probes offer variable spacing from 9 mm to 40 mm.
  • VersaTip™ provides a unique sampling tip design to deliver the benefits of both a fixed washable tip and disposable tip adapter.
  • Accusense™, our patented independent liquid level sensing technology efficiently monitors your sample volumes, with the ability to detect samples as low as 50 μL in microplates and 100 μL in test tubes. Low or non-ionic polar solutions and organic solvents such as DMSO or methanol are also detectable.
  • Carry-over reduction via a peristaltic pump for high-volume/high-throughput sample tip washing for carry-over to less than 1:1,000,000 with appropriate washing or use of disposable tips for improved reduction of carry-over.
  • Main array arm provides 96- or 384-channel dispense heads. It can easily dispense into 96-, 384- and 1536-well shallow and deep well microplates, without user intervention.
  • Main array gripper can automate plate or tip box movement and access off-deck plates or tip boxes without the need for an additional robotic arm.
  • Extended functionalities with simple yet powerful options, the Varispan™ Gripper and Deck Verification.

Release the power of Fontus automation in your NGS workflows.
