These hard tissue grinding mixes come as a set of 50 individually pre-filled tubes that contain the amount of 2.4 mm metal beads for high-efficiency disruption of hard tissues generally, and they are recommended for samples such as skin, muscle, bone, hair, roots and seeds, as well as dry grinding applications. They feature polypropylene screw caps with polypropylene tube, supporting sample volumes up to 5 mL and withstand the force and motion involved in bead-beating as indicated.

They are verified compatible with the Omni Bead Ruptor bead mills, though they may be compatible with a wider range of bead mill homogenizers.
