These bead-lysis kits include 2mL tubes that are conveniently pre-filled with 0.7 mm garnet fragments and are often used for hard and fibrous tissue grinding and cell lysis. Compared to our spherical beads, garnet lysing matrices are abrasive, irregularly shaped, and sharp in nature, which can make them very useful for labs looking for high-shearing capabilities within their bead-beating tubes for a range of sample types, such as difficult-to-lyse tissues and materials or environmental
samples.
