Overview
These 1/4" ceramic cylinder media are recmmended to use together with other Omni homogenizer beads to disrupt larger tissues into homogenates for further downstream extraction processes.
Note our recommended applications for our bulk ceramic beads:
- 1.4 mm
ceramic beads are suited for soft tissues and soft plant material,
including brain, liver, kidney, and spleen. - 2.8 mm
ceramic beads are suited for hard tissues and hard plant material,
including heart, muscle, skin, tendon, tail, and whole organs. - 6.5 mm
ceramic beads are suited for dry grinding and dry homogenizing, including
grains and seeds disruption as well as lyophilized hard plant material. - 0.1 mm
ceramic beads are suited for lysing bacteria, mammalian, and fungal cells,
and recommended for use in 96-well plates on the Bead Ruptor 96+
homogenizer. - 0.5 mm
ceramic beads are suited for lysing bacteria, mammalian, and fungal cells,
including gram positive bacteria, and recommended for use in 96-well
plates on the Bead Ruptor 96+ homogenizer.
