Overview

PhenoVue DAPI nuclear stain is a cell-impermeable organic molecule that binds preferentially to adenine-thymine (A-T) regions of minor groove of DNA. When excited by ultraviolet light, DAPI exhibits strong fluorescence at 455 nm. It is commonly used to stain cells’ nuclear compartment.

It can be used in indirect immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry, as well as high-content analysis and screening applications.

Typical working concentration: 1 µg/mL (10 nM)

Equivalent number of microplates:

  • 350 - 1040 x 96-well microplates
  • 290 - 1040 x 384-well microplates
  • 540 - 1630 x 1536-well microplates
