Purification and evaluation of total RNA from porcine skin on the Omni Bead Ruptor Elite bead mill homogenizer
Reliable and consistent RNA extraction from tough samples such as skin and bone can be a challenge for labs looking to understand gene expression and regulation within these sample matrices. The Omni Bead Ruptor Elite bead mill homogenizer was used to process porcine skin and yielded robust quantities of RNA for RT-PCR analysis and detection of 8S. We demonstrate the homogenizer’s ability to efficiently process tough samples to generate high yields and analyte integrity.
