Increasing high-content imaging throughput with cell-line multiplexing

Our technical note describes the multiplexing of 4 different cell lines in a single well using Semarion’s SemaCyte® optically-barcoded microcarriers, the Opera Phenix™ Plus high-content screening system and Harmony™ image analysis software. 

Using the cell painting assay and phenotypic profiling, we show that microcarriers from multiplexed wells cluster with the correct cell lines, confirming successful multiplexing.
